About

The Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts is making 47 artworks, all by women artists available for long-term loan. Drawn from the powerful exhibition Women in Motion 150 Years of Women’s Artistic Networks at PAFA, this project highlights PAFA’s remarkable distinction for actively promoting women artists since 1811. These groupings feature a number of new acquisitions from PAFA’s permanent collection which has been lauded by the New York Times for its pioneering leadership in collection art by women.

Support

Art Bridges covers all costs to prepare and ship the artworks to the borrowing museums. The foundation encourages borrowing museums to apply for accompanying Learning & Engagement funding to support the activation and interpretation of Partner Loan Network artworks. Learning & Engagement funding supports multidisciplinary programming, interpretive materials, and community outreach.
